Mitchell Swaback Charities

2009 Mission Trip

As you read this letter MSF has ten individuals serving in Pachacamac, Peru. On Saturday January 31st our group arrived in Lima, Peru. After arriving at 11:30 pm we loaded up the vans and drove about 50 minutes to our home for the next week. With just a few hours of sleep we all woke up and attended church. After church we headed for lunch and then visited both the Cuna Day Care Center in Manchay and the new Orphanage in Pachacamac. We were able to see what work lies ahead for the coming week. Some of the construction jobs we will be accomplishing are: drywall and taping, hanging doors and cabinets, tile floors and drop ceilings. This is our forth year making this trip to Peru and as always the highlight is seeing and spending time with the kids.

We thank God for the opportunity to use our skills to make a difference in these kids’ lives. Please pray for safety, the projects that we’ll be doing and changed lives for the following men: Clint Howard, Jim Sullivan, Chris Goudie, Jim Detlaff, Don DeFiore, Bill Swaback, Rick Jayko, Bill Erdmann, Paul Thompson and Bob Swaback.

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
