Mitch's Stained Glass Window

Mitch's Stained Glass Window

Mitchell's grandparents Ralph and Joanne Swaback commissioned and donated a large stained glass window that was installed in their church in Fountain Hills, Arizona in honor and memory of Mitch. The stained glass window, entitled "The Living Water", was dedicated on Easter Sunday 2006 with many of Mitch's family in attendance.

The stained glass window took six months to create. During this process Ralph, Joanne, Gaye and Bob Swaback had the opportunity to work on the window for a day with the glass maker. Being able to actually work on the window itself made this piece of art that much more meaningful for us all.

The stained glass window pictures a desert scene with cactus, mountains, and a stream of running water. The glass maker also incorporated the "Foundation's Logo" into the finished product. The verse below describes and creates a picture of what the artwork means to us:

Revelation 7:17 "For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

We would like to thank everyone involved with their help in creating such a beautiful piece of art that glistens every time the sun shines through it. It shares the message of this foundation to all who view it while most importantly remembering Mitch!

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
