Mitchell's Playground

Mitchell's Playground

On December 3rd The Fountains Church in Fountain Hills, Arizona dedicated their new children's playground in honor of Mitch.  The playground named, "Mitchell's Playground" will be a new favorite hang-out for the many children who attend The Fountains.

Ralph and Joanne Swaback gifted the playground to the church in honor of their grandson Mitch.  The entire process from planning, designing, to actually building it was a celebration of Mitch's life.  The director of the playground told MSC that on their final construction day it was wonderful to see several volunteers come together for one cause.  Volunteers from all over the valley came to help successfully finish a safe place for the kids to play.  "Everyone truly enjoyed the experience from start to finish and we're so blessed to be a part of this," commented the playground director.

We at MSF know that Mitch is looking down on each child as he or she plays on his playground.  A special thanks to all who were involved with Mitchell's Playground project!

"The children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray.  Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
