Living Water Well - May Update
Water has officially been found at Christ our Hope Orphanage! Praise the Lord!! I’ve attached some photos and here is a brief summary from Alan today.
“We continued to drill the granite. Today we brought them a 100 lb bag of sugar, another thing they were short on, and not in their budget. The dust was thick in the air, and everything began to take on the appearance of a moonscape, covered in the grey grit. Our Health and Hygiene personnel joined us today, and taught the children good hygiene habits to follow. So with the dust in the air, and the H&H team teaching the children, we did not have much of an audience.
They missed the best part of the day.
With each drill pipe section we kept adding to the rig, things were looking less and less favorable for us, and more prayers were said, asking God that this be the last piece necessary. And at 72 meters (236 feet!), the dust stopped coming out of the hole, although we were still drilling …
We had water!
Tomorrow we'll be back to develop the well (clean the water, install permanent casing, gravel pack, etc.) and on Monday the Pump Team will start their work.”
What a GREAT start to the weekend huh?!
Comments
I wanted to express my appreciation to the Mitchell Swaback Charities for a recent donation to establish a well at the Christ our Hope Orphanage in Liberia, West Africa. (Through Living Water). We had been praying and searching for about a year now to this end. Thank you on behalf of the kids at Christ our Hope!!!
When I heard the project was approved, it was mentioned that support was coming from your charity. I went on the Internet to learn more about Mitchell Swaback Charities. I was both taken back and blessed.
