Mitchell Swaback Charities Goes to Mexico

On March 14th, 2010 MSC in partnership with Harvest Bible Chapel of North Phoenix, loaded up the vans and headed to Porvenir, Mexico, home to a campus of Ventana Ministries. Ventana Ministries was started five years ago by Doug and Carrie VomSteeg to mentor and equip recent high school graduates for college through a cross-cultural, nine-month faith venture from their campus in Baja, Mexico.

The High School group from HBC went to work at a children’s orphanage and helped with some painting and spent valuable time with the local children. Other students worked at a vacation Bible school. See what Howie Biemeck, Harvest Bible Chapel student ministry Pastor, had to say about his experience >

Also during this trip, a small group of men was able to take care of much needed work for one of the missionary families living in Porvenir. Over a three day period, a new roof and ceramic tile was installed in their home. View photo gallery >

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
