Supporter Spotlight: Seth and Lori Kleeberger

This month we’d like to introduce you to Seth and Lori Kleeberger and why they choose to support MSC. Please take a moment and read about a family of four who strives to lend a hand to others, by walking hand-in-hand with MSC!

Q: In a few lines explain who are you, where do you work, live, kids etc?
We are Seth and Lori Kleeberger and Seth is the Associate Pastor at Harvest Bible Chapel, North Phoenix, while Lori is a stay-at-home mom. We have two children, Gabriel and Macy and live in Glendale, AZ. We moved to Arizona from the Midwest a little over 4 years ago.

Q: How did you first hear or get assicoated with MSC?
We were first introduced to MSC through Mitch's father, Bob Swaback. From the time we began at Harvest Bible Chapel, Bob has been a faithful friend and we were able to learn about the life of his son, Mitch, and how MSC was 'born' from his death.

Q: Why do you choose to support MSC monthly?
We have chosen to be a monthly prayer and support partner with MSC for a multitude of reasons, but the one that stands out the most is the fact that we wish to help the ministry that is impacting lives for God's glory. SO many lives were touched by the passion for Jesus that Mitch possessed and that passion has carried over into this ministry, in his honor.

Q: Do you see MSC making a difference in local and foreign communities?
Last Christmas, our entire family was able to witness first-hand the impact MSC had in the lives of our local community as we were able to assist in the creation and distribution of "care bags" for the homeless. People, who did not have a home, food or clothing, were loved on that day in a very special way. It is a day we will never forget and was only made possible by the time, talents and resources of MSC.

Q: What (if anything) would you to see MSC get involved with?
We love and support ALL that MSC currently partakes in. If nothing else, our family would love to be more 'hands-on' with the ministry, as more opportunities evolve within our community. However, to answer the question, it would be our desire that the "Christmas Care Bags" become a yearly tradition and we would love to see a future partnership with local churches on a benevolence level.

Q: With the economy still hurting, incomes low and struggling families why is it, in your opinion, still important to support the work of MSC or any charity?
#1 - We believe that MSC is impacting lives for the Gospel. #2 - We have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the Swaback family who continues to the answer the call of God on their lives. #3 - God has a tremendous concern for the poor, both spiritually and physically. MSC takes seriously the command to reach out to those who are less fortunate and we wish to be apart of that.

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
