MSC Pays Tribute on 9-11 By Running The Chicago Half Marathon & 5K

We all are very aware that the 10 year anniversary of 9-11 is quickly approaching and as it does MSC is thrilled to remember this day in history by coming together to run the Chicago Half Marathon/5k races. What a perfect way to remember the fallen by taking to the streets of Chicago, out in the open, proclaiming our rights and freedom as Americans! Those who support evil and hate crimes will always be present in our society, however, so will organizations like MSC! Individuals who stand up for what they know and believe is right and true, those who step in to help the less fortunate and hurt, and those who pray for the weak and debilitated. Those types of individuals will also be forever present within our communities and MSC is proud to take a stand with them.

On 9-11 seventeen runners will take their mark for the Chicago Half Marathon and 11 more will tackle the 5k course. Our goal is to raise around $60,000 for our ongoing and upcoming projects. To date, we have raised $16,300.00. Please take a look at all the runner’s pages on MSC’s website and pray about sponsoring a runner today! We need your involvement so MSC can continue to help those who others try to tear down.

Our prayers go out this month to all the families who lost a loved one on 9-11, prayers for our country and government, and those who fight this good fight.

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
