Third Annual Golf Outing Wrap Up

On June 18th 106 golfers set out in a scramble format to compete in the 3rd Annual MSF Golf Outing. Play was cut short by three holes due to rain, but all participates had a great attitude about coming in to shower early. Starting at 4:30 over two hundred people were welcomed and greeted to bid on 180 item’s in our silent auction that brought in revenues of $13,000. Following our silent auction our dinner program began with a short video entitled "Press On," showing glimpses of each or our main projects from the past year. Bob Arosen soon took control of the audience by serving as our auctioneer and auctioning off some of the 20 live auction items up for bid.

After dinner a video highlighting Tabitha House Phase IV was shown followed by the founders of Tabitha House, Reverend and Mrs. Walker, each speaking about their ministry. The founding couple expressed their deepest thankfulness to MSF for serving them like no other organization has done since the ministry started over thirty years ago. Mrs. Walker, who has trouble walking, was an inspiration as God gave her the strength to stand and walk while recapping all the good that MSF has offered to each resident they welcome into Tabitha. If anyone needed another reason as to why they should get involved, they definitely received it!

James MacDonald, Senior Pastor at Harvest Bible Church and radio program Walk in the Word, closed the evening with a challenge to each individual about their relationship with the Lord. He spoke that although Jesus Christ died on the cross for us, he is still alive and speaks to us today. Also, even though Mitch has gone home to be with the Lord, we know he still speaks to us today. Listen to what the Lord has laid in front of you and take action from the Lord’s guidance.

The evening concluded with the bidding of a few more live auction items, adding another $45,000 dollars to our funds raised! This year’s event exceeded our expectations and with the help of corporate and individual hole sponsors our total revenues raised was $85,000! Remember, 100% of all proceeds raised will go directly to fund our projects.

Thank you to the many individuals who served and volunteered their time to help make this event a success.

Looking forward to seeing you all next year at the 4th Annual Mitchell Swaback Golf Outing and Auction.

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
