2011 Chicago Half Marathon

We invite you to come out and challenge yourself to a 13.1 mile run along Chicago's Lake Shore Drive while supporting MSC!

MSC is looking for motivated individuals who will partner with us to raise funding for MSC and all of our projects!  We ask you to get involved and sign up today to complete the 15th Annual Chicago Half Marathon this September.  Our goal is to get 50 runners to join forces with us and make this an annual fundraiser!  You don't have to be an outstanding long distance runner to join us; many runners jog and walk along the course.  If you can finish a 13 minute mile, you'll do great!

The scenic 13.1 mile course will start and finish in Jackson Park and showcase the south lakefront, the Jackson Park Golf Course and the Midway Plaisance on the University of Chicago campus. The Lake Shore Drive stretch offers beautiful views of the great Chicago Skyline. Race registration includes the following:

•  Finishers Medal
•  Tech Running Shirt
•  On course entertainment
•  10 on course aid stations with water and Gatorade Endurance
•  Access to post-race food and refreshments
•  Digital photo proof from our race photo partner
•  Access to post-race activities at Jackson Park
•  Top 3 in each age group receive an award

Go to the The 15th Annual Chicago Half Marathon website and register for the Half Marathon and enter the coupon code CHMMSC11 to be registered as a MSC runner.  MSC is designated as a charity running team with Chicago Half Marathon, you can look up our logo on their sponsor page. After you’re registered online please email Nicolee Thompson and we’ll create your ‘SPONSOR ME’ page our MSC’s website.  100% of the proceeds raised will go directly towards MSC’s projects!  The newest being MSC’s first sponsored Food & Clothing bank.  Come on out and bring a friend!  Together we can make this a success!

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
