Walk in the Word

Walk in the Word

Through broadcasting and publishing, the mission of Walk in the Word is to “ignite passion in the people of God through the proclamation of truth.” The approach to teaching stems from Isaiah 30:21 which says, “Your ears shall hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’”

Bible teacher Dr. James MacDonald, founding pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel, is known for his passionate proclamation of God’s Word. His uncompromising commitment to the truth has borne fruit in the record of lives changed forever by God.

While some ministries speak primary to the mind, imparting new information that we might understand God properly and other ministries focus on the heart, providing encouragement to the spirit during times of difficulty and challenge, Walk in the Word’s calling is to center primary on man’s will, helping people choose to put into practice what they know, despite what they feel. In doing that, Walk in the Word holds to these commitments:

- The bold, unapologetic proclamation of God’s Word and the Person of Jesus Christ
- A contemporary, practical, biblical teaching style
- The commitment to ignite spiritual change and growth in listeners
- Strategic partnerships to develop, enhance, and grow the ministry

Walk in the Word has been on the radio since 1997 and is heard on over 700 radio stations in the United States and Canada and always online at WalkintheWord.com.

Our Mission

Mitchell Swaback Charities was started October 15th, 2004. Our purpose is to continue to impact individuals, organizations and families as Mitch has done so many times. We want to continue Mitch's compassion to serve in missions, the church and to honor God in the way Mitch did on a daily basis. We will continue to form partnerships that will allow us to expand our ministry.

Through the many opportunities that surround us, we look forward to making a difference.

We will honor the Lord in all we do. Learn more >>

Mitch's Story

For 23 years our son Mitch etched memories into the hearts of everyone he met. He was as real as they come. What he meant to us and to so many others now belongs to the legacy we will cherish forever.

At Mitch's going-home service Pastor James MacDonald used one word that best described Mitch: "Maximum." Read more >>
